Feeding challenges are common for children on the autism spectrum—and for many families, mealtimes can quickly become stressful and confusing. In this informative and parent-centered session, Courtni Marshall and Jeri Ward walk attendees through typical feeding development from infancy through childhood, highlighting early milestones and red flags that may signal feeding difficulties. They will explore how neurodivergent brains process sensory input, routine, and control, and how these differences can significantly impact eating behaviors. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of why feeding challenges occur and learn practical, realistic strategies to support neurodivergent eaters at every stage. The session emphasizes progress over perfection and equips caregivers with tools to reduce stress, build trust, and support healthy relationships with food. This session is ideal for parents, caregivers, and professionals seeking clarity, reassurance, and actionable next steps for supporting children with feeding differences.
